Zip Tide documents the idea of taking a makeshift pontoon boat all the way to the Gulf from Wisconsin traveling entirely on the Mississippi River. Spending nine days and eight nights on the river, we only made it to St. Louis where we had unfixable engine failures and the Coast Guard towed us to safety. Despite all the issues we came across, I wouldn’t change it for anything. I think speak for the crew when I say that we will definitely give it another go later on in life but next time we are going to need a better boat.
